Birmingham in the Carling cup final you referenced was luck going against us on the day if you remember the mix-up that led to Obafemi's match winner.

About Montpellier, I also emphasized that my reference is the EPL. I doubt very much if any team can replicate what they did last year in the EPL. The EPL is just way more competitive than the French league. Montpellier's winning the title was an oddity rather than the norm anyway.

I'm glad you noticed Wenger's toughened up. That's one I'll agree with you on.

Holla!Naija End Goonerhttp://naijaendgooner.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6807230851161235946.post-46555325731306937752012-09-15T11:10:02.682+01:002012-09-15T11:10:02.682+01:00The club's model not withstanding, if we talk ...The club's model not withstanding, if we talk of not winning medals, I'll remind you of some seasons ago when Arsenal lost the chance of winning the Carling up against Birmingham. What was the excuse? Was Birmingham a "financial doping" club? If the issue here is winning cups, then what of Montpellier? Are they also a rich club? I think our not winning cups despite being close at times can be attributed to Wenger's soft stance on the players. I don't think that in relative terms that ManU is light years ahead. Wenger needs to instill some steel in his players. Hopefully going by his response to Sagna's issue, that shouldn't be long expected.Archienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6807230851161235946.post-20844280358899042732012-09-14T23:35:07.880+01:002012-09-14T23:35:07.880+01:00The club's model not withstanding, if we talk ...The club's model not withstanding, if we talk of not winning medals, I'll remind you of some seasons ago when Arsenal lost the chance of winning the Carling up against Birmingham.
